National Sickle Cell Awareness Month
Sickle cell disease is the most common inherited blood disorder in America, with over 100,000 people diagnosed, causing severe, chronic pain and other serious problems. Help raise awareness about sickle cell disease, how to manage it, and the available treatments by teaching students the importance of monitoring and understanding their health. Use modeling to help your students better understand genetically inherited diseases. Plus, if you're looking for more resources on sickle cell disease, you can watch our Transcription, Translation & Sickle Cell Anemia webinar here.
