Science Spotlight

Michele Korb, PhD, is an ASET Co-Principal Investigator and science education faculty at California State University East Bay Teacher Education Department in the College of Education & Allied Studies. She has worked closely with us since 2002 to redesign school curriculum using models to make student learning more interactive and project-based. Dr. Korb has also used the Protein Data Bank and Jmol programming to create engaging online experiences that allow students to design and inspect proteins. Her passion for improving student learning is inspiring, and we're thankful for the opportunities we've had to work with her! You can access the resources Dr. Korb and her team have developed here.

Add Engaging Models to Your Collection!

Interactive models will allow your students to go hands-on with molecular biology! Use the Antibody and Antigen Models© to show students antibody binding, specificity, and how the immune system defends against infection. The Insulin Model©  helps students better understand blood sugar regulation at the molecular scale. These colorful and attractive models will help make your students more engaged and ready to dive deeper into how the human body works.
