Thank You, Model Teachers, for a Great Weekend!

We met with many new educators this weekend at ASTA, NABT, and STANYS! These conferences went amazingly due to the expertise of our 3DMD Model Teachers. We want to thank them all for all that they did at each conference:

They all provided tremendous modeling knowledge and experience to the educators they presented and talked to. We thank them for taking the time to introduce the power of modeling on our behalf!

We're also proud to share that we won the best-in-show booth award at NABT! Our staff works hard to make our booths welcoming and lively, so it's great to see that effort recognized. Thank you to everyone who contributes to our conference prep!

Science Spotlight

David Goodsell, PhD, is a Professor of Computational Biology at the Scripps Research Institute and a Research Professor at Rutgers University, where he acts as the Scientific Outreach lead at the RCSB Protein Data Bank. Dr. Goodsell creates cellular landscapes that accurately illustrate the size, shape, and distribution of proteins in the cells. The unique watercolor images he creates connect the molecular world, inferred by X-ray crystallography and NMR spectroscopy, with the cellular world, observed by light and electron microscopy. Creating these landscapes is how he extrapolated data and research into the infrastructure of cells. We're proud to collaborate over the years with Dr. Goodsell to bring these illustrations to students!
