The Science Behind Infectious Diseases

3D Molecular Designs is excited to announce that we've been awarded an NIH SEPA grant! This Infectious Disease project will allow us to develop interactive kits and models focused on bringing cutting-edge science to the classroom. Covid-19 showed how important it is for everyone to understand infectious disease science better. We're excited to develop these materials alongside high school teachers so students can learn these new technologies. Stay tuned for updates about this project to learn how you can become involved! What's Your Favorite Molecular Structure?

Make your favorite protein, ribosome, or antibody come to life by creating a Custom Model with us! We've been building models of molecular structures for over 20 years and want to share that expertise with you. Science Spotlight

Fredrick Sanger, PhD, was a biochemist who received the Nobel Prize in Chemistry twice. Sanger earned his first Nobel Prize in 1958 for determining the amino acid sequence of insulin and other proteins. His work showed that every protein has a unique structure, which is instrumental to our understanding of the central dogma of molecular biology. He won his second Nobel Prize in 1980 for creating a method of DNA sequencing involving electrophoresis, which we now call Sanger sequencing. In the video below, you can watch an interview with Sanger, where he reminisces about his incredible career that laid the foundation for our current understanding of molecular science.

Students Study Sanger & More! 

Teaching your students molecular biology can be daunting, but the Biotechnology Kit© makes it easier for students to understand.
